Hi tftv, hoping you could help with a problem of mine:
I'm having some major issues with playing back demos. Immediately after typing 'playdemo (name)' in console, TF2 freezes on the menu and stays that way for at least 5 minutes, and can only be closed via task manager. Eventually the demo will start to play and I don't have any problems from there. Are there issues with my demos, or is it a problem with my game? Is there a better way of playing demos that will fix or reduce the effects of this problem?

CTR_try mat_queue_mode 0
It loaded slightly faster this time with mat_queue_mode 0, thanks for the tip. Still takes a little while before the demo starts but I can live with that.
