In the next chapter of the sudden spree of team sponsorships, Velocity eSports have announced on Twitter that they have acquired ESEA Invite team Legalize Ranch.
Legalize Ranch made their way into Invite in Season 23, under the name this game used to be fun. Since then, however, they’ve made several roster changes, leaving saam to be the last member of the original lineup. In Season 24, the team finished 4th place, falling to Jamal E-Sports in the Lower Bracket Round 1 of the playoffs. With a very similar roster to last season, they currently sit at 5th place with a 3-4 record, and hope to reach the playoffs so they can reach a better result.
Velocity eSports have had successful teams in the past in games such as Call of Duty and Halo, but they currently only have teams in CS:GO and just now, TF2.
Jarrett shared his thoughts on joining Velocity:
We're pretty excited to have an org support us and add to the number of Invite teams sponsored this season. Even though it's far away, we're hopeful to maintain the sponsorship into the next season & ESA as well.
