My TF2 almost never crashes, except for times when I'm playing in a lobby in tf2center. I play for 10-15 minutes in a match, and suddenly, without any warning, all audio stops, the game is unresponsive for a couple of seconds, and the "hl2.exe stopped working" messege pops up. I tried veryfing game cache, but it didn't fix it.

I had the same thing like ~1.5 years ago. I managed to find a temporary solution - once you got the connect, close Google Chrome and it will work fine. Idk if you have the same issue but it worked for me. The problem got fixed itself after some Windows or Chrome update, can't exactly tell because it was driving me nuts and I gave up playing TF2C for a while.

this also happens to me in tf2center and faceit, but nowhere else, so I think it may have something to do with tournament mode, help very appreciated

Do you have custom hud or anything in custom folder? If so remove it and try if it fixed it, same goes for configs.

Tried closing chrome when playin the lobby, but it still crashed.
