I'd do what I already do alongside TF2. Play a mix between Overwatch, CS, and Quake, along with some strategy and racing games. I'd probably eventually settle into one of those first three as my "main" game, but I don't think I'd ever become so involved in the competitive scene in another game, like I have in TF2.

TF2 won't die this quickly. Even though many people quit the playerbase is still quite healthy. This game is 10 years old after all. The actual death of a game like TF2 will be even slower than Se7en's playstyle. So yeh, let's stop worrying and simply enjoy the game.
