Having played with 144hz at LAN I don't think I can go back to 60hz now, so any suggestions for a good, cheap 144hz monitor?
mathemaphysicistMight as well go for 240hz
might as well burn his wallet
i played with 144 for a year then had to go back to 60, i got used to it after like a week, so if you want to buy a new monitor just because you feel like you wont be able to live without 144, you might as well keep your money
if you do have money to spend, benq xl2411z is very very good

I can already hear the rumble of Setsul coming to tell you how bad of a monitor he thinks it is..

I can now safely say after trying out VG248QE at the lan that it's definitely inferior to XL2411, unless you can get VG248QE from a sale I would rather recommend you to reserve your money for XL2411 or just stick to 60hz like you've always used to at home prior to the lan.

I'm currently thinking about getting the https://www.overclockers.co.uk/acer-predator-gn246hlbbid-24-1920x1080-tn-144hz-1ms-gaming-widescreen-monitor-mo-068-ac.html from hobnobs which is only £160 and I am told it is decent- is this a good plan?

It has no height adjustment but unless that really matters to you I think it's a pretty good deal.
