New Steelseries Sensei is pretty good for anyone interested.

do you know if you can use the new DA elite sensor for this? I've done many kinzuadders with 3, 3.5g sensors. As well as a ghetto wmo adder lol. Going to be getting a 3d printer so i should have more capabilities when it comes to modding the shell.
Not a 100% sure I'd have to have a DA elite PCB+Sensor and the 3.5G or 3G PCB+Sensor to tell you for sure. Unfortunately I don't have any Razer DAs of my own to even give you a guess.

Not as easily because the DAs after 3.5 G have a singular PCB with all components on it, so you can't route the WMO switches to the pins like you could before. Of course you could cut and solder, but I'm not sure about the routing on it, don't own a DA Elite myself.
But honestly these days with the abundance of good sensors in lots of shapes it's not really worth it anymore.
If you still want to have a WMO mod I'd recommend getting a used LogitechG502 because that has the sensor on a separate board again. Someone on OCN did that mod iirc.

KonceptComangliaAny reason you won't get another death adder? Also most middle click issues with Razer Death Adders can be resolved by disassembling the mouse fully depressing the middle click button (with the tip of a knife, paperclip, etc) and cleaning the area around the button.I've used Razer mice for a little over 5 years now, so for me it's more or less wanting to try something different. I also did try out an ec1-a about a year ago and loved the shape, but the buttons just felt far too stiff for my liking, so I ended up returning it. Also seeing that they've updated the model to have left and right clicks not as tight as before and side buttons that didn't feel like they were going to break after any number of button presses. That being said, if another deathadder is the best for me, I'll just get a new one

I reread your post I had missed that you were having wrist strain issues. Curious about how you hold/move your mouse.
Also one of the feet near the front of the mouse is wearing off, so I guess I could just take it apart and fix the scroll wheel but I'd certainly need a new set of mouse feet to apply afterwards. I'm thinking hyperglides but I don't know if there are any better options out there that are worth buying.
The wrist strain doesn't occur that often, and it could come down to the fact that I do a decent bit of aiming with my wrist. I know that my grip is a sort of hybrid between palm and fingertip (I say this because I know that my fingers are straight and not arched like in claw, but some of my palm does make contact with the back of my mouse in some spots), but I've never really thought about it too much.
flyingbuddyI've actually considered getting a naos 7000 before, but I tried some cheap off brand mouse that had a similar shape before and I didn't really like it. It's possible that because it was a brand that wasn't well known that I didn't enjoy the shape but I'll look into it.Koncept
I mean if you really want a mouse that feels big you could try the mionix naos 7000.
Your wrist strains could be due to you using your wrist to much, over your arm whilst gaming, as well as using a sensitivity that's to high. Here's an interesting article on it: http://www.criticalhit.net/gaming/dr-levi-harrison-talks-mouse-sensitivity-gaming-rsi/
As far as the sensitivity goes, I've actually changed my sensitivity about a month ago from 11.5 inches (29.21 cm)/360 down to 10.4 inches (26.416 cm)/360, so I don't really think that my sensitivity is too fast. I do use my wrist for a bit of aiming, but for large movements I move my arm for the extra distance. It doesn't happen very often, and the main reason that I brought it up was the fact that I haven't been the most satisfied with the overall ergonomics of my deathadder ever since i tried the ec1-a.
It's entirely possible that I'm either thinking about it too much or just using bad technique but the whole wrist strain thing doesn't happen that often, maybe once for a day every few months, but since I do a lot of typing for classes and for news articles I should probably do wrist stretches more often. It's entirely possible that the amount of typing that I do is also a factor in my occasional wrist strain.
Vulcanb4nny made a good video on wrist stretches to help reduce wrist strainI've seen it, and I think I'm going to start doing those more often since I'm doing a lot of typing and gaming
The NAOS probably uses the exact same shell as the off-brand, it's not a design by Mionix, they just bought it. The off-brand mouse probably even comes from the same factory as the NAOS (I think the ODM is LaView Tech).
As for wrist strain: I'd actually recommend trying a smaller mouse that allows for a bit more adjustments with your fingers instead of having to strain your wrist when doing long and fast turns. Something like a EC2-A or G403 could do the trick. I was using big mice for a long time and am now very happy with both a ZA11 (which is rather big) or a G Pro (which is rather small)

Sorry for the necro but I've got 2 questions:
- Has anybody used hyperglide mouse skates, and are they worth buying? The feet on my deathadder are really wearing and I'm kind of on the edge of just getting an ec1-a or buying hyperglides and putting them on
- Does anybody know of a way that I can sort of "refresh" the grips on the side of my deathadder? They've become a bit slippery from oils from my hand over the years and if there's any way that I can make them grip better with any conventional methods, I'd be very happy. If it's just something that's inevitable from extended wear and tear, then that's fine. I've been using this mouse for a little over 4 years, and I'm happy with how long it's lasted me. If I end up being unhappy with my future ec1-a, then I know that I'll still have the new deathadder to return to and use.
Also unrelated to my questions, if anybody has seen Rocket Jump Ninja's review of the HyperX pulsefire, he mentions that the left side isn't angled in the right way to help when you're lifting up the mouse. I've been testing it out for the past week or so, and he's very much right in his concern of it. I did feel like my aim was hindered by it, especially since I play a lot of soldier and demo.
I know I'm basically repeating what RJN said in his review, but for some reason when I bought it I thought that it wouldn't be that big of a deal, but to me it ended up being a borderline hindrance when I was playing. I'm actually planning on returning it in a few days because I'd really like to get my money back to possibly buy an ec1-a. But until they fix that issue, I'd recommend looking at other products first.

there are new steelseries mice:
https://steelseries.com/gaming-mice/sensei-310
https://steelseries.com/gaming-mice/rival-310
the shapes are worse than the mice they are based on, the side grips are worthless, but the mouse clicks and sensors are better. also I assume the firmware and software are still shit

Hyperglides are great
maybe use griptape over the worn rubber, but after 4 years that's probably long enough

#157 I actually find the new sensei a lot more well shaped than the old, the front doesn't curve outwards.
Just get a better more updated mouse that isn't razer, preferably something like Logitech, zowie, or some of the newer steel series ones

Anyone ever use an Azio mouse? I'm getting sent one and am just curious as to the quality. Getting sent the exo1. I probably will give it to a friend regardless but just curious as to its quality
What are you looking for? Do you have a budget? What about size? Do you like smooth low friction pads or do you prefer a little more stopping power?
That aside I'll throw some obvious recommendations out there.
Razer goliathus is probably the best product razer makes. Decent size selection. stitched edges, smooth or rough options and a decent price. One of the best overall entry level pads around.
Puretrack talent, Huge, thick and good if you have a rough or uneven desk. Non stitched edges are a big drawback.
Anything by qck especially the ones with stitched edges. these are pretty much the standard for mousepads these days. Faily smooth though not quite as smooth as the razer pad or the puretrack imo.
artisan shiden kai. Fastest pad I've ever used and feels like a very high quality pad. Very Very expensive and non stitched edges. I don't know for sure but it seems like it will last a very long time. Mine is white and unless you are sure your mouse can work on a white pad I'd try to avoid that.
Glass pad. Go to a local glass shop and ask for a 3/8ths inch piece of glass with beveled or rounded edges/corners with your desired dimensions and frosted on one side. Stick some pads on the bottom and there you go. It will last forever because the mouse feet won't damage the glass the same way they do regular pads. Very fast and constant feel. Requires a high quality sensor though. At 3/8ths think it's pretty sturdy and I have never worried about mine breaking. Mine was like 20 bucks for a 20 by 17 piece.

yeah sorry for not specifying anything, got a desk with actual space on it so I want to upgrade my mousepad, not looking for anything too fancy and i have about 35$ in my paypal right now but I don't want to use it all.
I main soldier and I use 3.5 in game 800 dpi with a logitech g403 (5.8in/360). The razer goliathus, qck, and the puretrack look pretty good, something durable would be nice.

If anyone wants a decent cheap mouse, I reccomend this. EC series shape, mouse buttons separated from the shell, an amazing scroll wheel, using the PMW3325 Sensor, it has decent mouse software, and decent mouse feet (I recommend modding these mouse feet, cause they're not the best when it comes to gliding around, there is a bit of resistances), but the side buttons are a bit too small for me, and take a while for me to get used to, cause I would end up hitting both side buttons at the same time, instead of hitting mouse5.
But there have been issues with the right mouse button according to a friend of mine who has owned and reviewed a lot of mice, just be warned about the bad quality with these cheap chinese mice. But with it being on sale for $20, I honestly do like it.

Can anyone recommend a mousepad that feels like the qck? Im looking for something that is a little bigger but idk if i want to get the plus version if there is anything objectively better than the plus.
@post above. Buy a magic the gathering playmat. No joke they are cheaper, fucking huge and have cool artwork of dragons n shit.

Razer Basilisk [Amazon]
- Weighs 104g so the weight difference will be very noticeable
- Excellent sensor performance (Razer edited PMW3389) no issues with spinning and no issues with pixel movement.
Logitech G502 [Amazon]
- Weighs very close (121g) to the mouse you linked however has a lot of extra features that aren't really needed for some and some do say these features can get in the way.
- Currently uses the PMW3366, exclusive to Logitech, which is considered the top sensor for mice outside the Sensor Mercury (not enough public data on it). No issues regarding spin out and pixel movement.
If you want to move completely away from the shape PM me and I can show you some stuff I could recommend.
