kinda pricey and not technically a gaming headset but the Beyerdynamic DT770 + Mod Mic combo is really good.

Do not buy a headset, a zalman clip on mic ($6-10 iirc) + headphones will get you better audio quality and usually better mic quality. Also what is your budget?

Can vouch for the DT770. Been using it for almost a year now and it still feels brand new. I could wear that thing all day and it never gets uncomfortable, so it's easily the best pair of headphones I've ever bought.

In terms of a mic though, I'd recommend getting a clip-on mic or, if you want something handsfree, getting a Blue mic of some kind (yeti, snowball, etc)

You don't need a blue mic, my friend bought a snowball and it's sounds the same as a 20$ mic

rowpieceshow about before anyone posts in the hardware section theres a thing that tells them to not make the 400th headset recommendations thread

If they were willing to invest some time and effort (e.g. using search functions, reading) into their research they wouldn't have bought a headset in the first place.
