it doesn't matter what server, no matter how close, i will consistently have 200 ping in-game. this has been happening for days, and it seems to only be in-game. mumble ping is fine, ping test shows up fine, but in-game is a consistent ~200.
any fixes would be appreciated, the game is unplayable at the moment because of this.
editing because i forgot to throw this out there: i don't think anything graphic is impeding. tried running lowest settings/chris config/dx8 and it didn't change. also put a shit ton of exceptions into windows defender so it wouldn't scan changing tf2 files, no luck. removed, dusted, and put my wifi card back in, too.

Turn off windows defender, use an actual antivirus, use comanglias config or mastercoms config, have you tried reinstalling tf2?

so i think it resolved itself somehow. it's not like this was like one night with bad internet, it was at least a few days with constant 200 ping only in-game. still curious as to what causes exclusively in-game lag.

It is a routing issue with Steam Datagram, if you're trying on Valve servers. But for a community server, idk. But a lot of people have been having problems lately, I believe.
