Due to personal reasons, Faint Gaming starter Sandblast will be stepping down from the scout role on the invite roster. Taking his place will be bo4r, formerly of Cat Noises. Bo4r rose to a high level of play after showing an exceptional level of hitscan proficiency in both the highlander and 6v6 game modes. Faint Gaming is optimistic that his strong aim and game knowledge will help elevate our roster further this season.
Additionally, in an attempt to at least field 6 players that will finish out the season, Faint Gaming Blue will now be acquiring the following roster:
Scout: phone
Scout: meatball
Roamer: Benroads
Pocket: messiah
Demo: Stock
Medic: caboose
We understand that this is an entirely different 6 than was announced at the beginning of the season. Keeping rosters active is important to us, and will help tf2 look better. We hope that these guys can find success this season!
I am making this post because there is a lot of information that is not as easy to greenlight with TFTV articles. Some of our players have received criticism from the tf2 community because of past mistakes. While I personally joined Faint at the very end of negotiations for this season, our staff considered several rosters, and came to our decision for our own reasons. We stand by our choice and wish the players leaving Faint the best in their endeavors. While ultimately this decision did not work out, we are determined to continue our presence in this scene for the time being. Our staff has worked hard to get to where we are, and we would not want to just drop out just 2 weeks into the season.
We hope that you continue to support us, in both TF2 and in other games. Thanks for reading.

I made some negative comments in the invite thread so I think it's fair to pay my respects to the invite Faint Gaming players for sticking it through and powering on. Good luck this season, you guys.

Regardless of what we decide, we at Faint Gaming would like to thank the TF2 community for their support. The status of our Invite team is currently unknown. We are going to spend a couple days discussing what we want to do this season, and in future seasons with ESEA. Having a team represent your organization is more complicated than picking up the best players. We were lucky enough to have a team that made a good run last season, and this season it gave us a good image coming into week 1. People were familiar enough with our roster and were excited to see us try and replicate the success we found last season. As we all know, that didn't happen. And this is where things get a little fuzzy. Many people don't realize that Faint Gaming is a very small org. We have a very finite budget. It is a business and making money is important to us so that we can continue doing what we do. Things get complicated when team ownership changes hands, and when multiple people pass through the roster. When a roster is this volatile and we receive messages out of no where telling us that we need to pay up new players we didn't know were going to be on the team, its not good for us. We need to make sure that the money we spend is money well invested.
We will try to keep all of our fans informed of our decisions in the coming days, and I hope that all of you will continue to cheer for us, and the roster. Thank you.

tl;dr the invite shuffles with faint are making the org not want to sponsor the team anymore
how fucking hard is it to field 6 people who want to play all season and be done with it, why do you retards have to bait kredible and piss away faint's money

I'd like to point out that Bill and Hobin have done much for Faint TF2 then I have, possibly even more. Without them, Faint TF2 in the first place would not have been possible.
Also, no hard feeling to any of our previous players, they've all been super awesome for the time in Faint, it's just a shake it didn't work out. Like Bill said, we'll come to a decision in the next few days on what path we'd like to take regarding Invite and TF2 in general

don't sponsor a team with yight on it and i think you shouldn't have to worry about paying up 10+ players in one season

The entire Faint Gaming team has been a blessing to competitive TF2, from paying up all these players to actively recruiting new sponsors for our scene. It keeps being said but they deserve much much better than what they’ve been given. It’s been wonderful to see all these teams get sponsored and to see all the work that’s been put in. It’s a shame that people apparently can’t see that and choose to act like children as opposed to giving back to the org that has given, at a bare minimum, paid invite fees to them.

Dear Svift or Possibly Ascent even (just a good yet more dedicated team in general i guess). IF! this team decides to fold PLEASE consider trying to contact Faint and obtain their sponsorship, these guys have been absolutely incredible and even with all the drama surrounding them still are with us. It would be an absolute shame if we do nothing about this situation if it really goes sour

well two things
1. isn't like svift and ascent like self sustaining orgs and only reach out to tf2? mean while faint reaches out to other games and pay the fees for other players which is nicer for the player and just make our community look better seeing that we have more sponsors. (i might be wrong with this statement but still it's nice that an org is reaching out to us like this and this stuff is happening to them
2. My point was more on the lines of hoping that a team that will for sure not really change much or fold (SVIFT and Ascent are just good teams and potentially they will stick together) pick up faint sponsorship because faint has had a rough time this season in both open and invite and they just don't deserve it
Edit: Real main point here is I don't want Faint to fold but if they do, i hope our community isn't all "OH RIP Faint you were good son etc. [*]" but doesn't do anything to help faint have faith in our game again (which maybe jarlow will stay regardless idk, up to him)

Ascent is currently in Quake, and have said that they're still interested in expanding to other games.
