Hey guys,
ever since the Jungle Inferno update my old demos are broken.
pl_badwater and koth_lakeside demos crash the game with "bad inline model number 128"
And all other demos have broken viewmodels. For pyro for example my Degreaser and Powerjack are invisible but the Flare Gun isn't (you can only see the hands for these weapons). Like I said both of these problems only happen with pre-Jungle Inferno demos.
If anyone knows a solution to that I would love to hear it. Thanks!

Have you tried the normal stuff like removing your custom folder, removing your cfg folder and changing mat_queue_mode?

EDIT: Install by disconnecting from internet and replacing TF2 folder, right?

Even I'm having this problem, one of my demos is just crashing at certain tick and another demo is getting "bad inline model number 128" error.

I managed to fix the map problem by installing an older version of the pl_badwater.bsp
However, the viewmodel problem resists.

afaik there is no fix - using demos from after the jungle inferno update is the only way to record anything quality

If you right-click on Team Fortress 2 in your games list and select Properties, you can opt-in to the "pre_jungleinferno_demos" beta (on the BETAS tab) to fix your older demos. You won't be able to play online while in this state, but you can playback your old demos.

I have tested it and it doesn't work - all the weapon models are invisible. It MIGHT work if you set steam to offline mode though (which is how you get it to work using an old copy of tf2) so try that.

not sure if this is relevant anymore but you can get viewmodels to work in pre inferno demos simply by joining a local server before playing the demos.

After downloading the preset mentioned above,start steam in offline and join tr_walkway and exit,now you can play pre -jungle inferno demos with no crashes.
