Mentoring
in the mean time of waiting for someone to mentor you, you should go over professional scout's game play and try to pick apart their plays to understand why they made certain decisions. or instead of that what i have been doing recently is partially commentating my own game play to myself in matches, scrims, or even pugs. for example, after a mid that we wiped on i will try to understand what i did wrong as a team mate, what i could have done instead, etc. to try to prevent it the next time around. this way, im able to test different play-styles and different strategies in real time and see their results. personally works for me, builds a lot of game sense.
