Some friends and I plan to put together a team over the summer and play in Cevo Open. The reason for choosing Cevo is that I can't guarantee being free every Wednesday night to play in UGC. We thought that playing in Cevo would be better because Cevo allows for scheduling matches on different days. Looking at the match results page now it looks like most teams play their matches at the default time on Thursday. If my team requested a switch to Wednesday or Friday for some of our matches would most teams be accommodating? Or do teams plan around being able to play on Thursday?
In my time playing Cevo this season there hasn't been a single thing that resembles match comms
ugc allows rescheduling... they don't care so long as it's played by midnight friday night
cevo matches can be rescheduled, they implemented a system to do it
the problem is that if the other team don't answer to your reschedule offer, the match will stay scheduled for the standard time on thursday, so if your team can't play the matches on thursday there's no real way for you to avoid a forfeit
tl;dr: nobody takes cevo seriously

In my experience, while they do allow rescheduling most teams don't like to because they plan on playing at the default time. I'm not sure if 6s is the same way, but after 3 seasons of UGC HL I wouldn't try to reschedule a UGC match ever.

if you log into our website, click on "MY CEVO", then "Manage Events", click "Matches" and hit "View" on the specific match you want, you will see the match communication thread.
We encourage teams to use the thread and work with each other to find the best time for both teams to play the match. If an agreement can't be made, we do force the default day/time.
In addition to the match scheduling thread, if both teams come to an agreement to play after the deadline day and request an extension from our staff - we are usually more than happy to extend the deadline day wherever possible.
Thanks,

If the other team isn't answering in match comms, a quick chat on steam is usually the best way to get everything sorted out
In the last UGC season, one of my soldiers was always busy on Wednesday so we wound up rescheduling almost all of our matches to Tuesday or Thursday and most teams were very accommodating.
What I'm getting here is that Cevo is worse than I think it is and UGC 6s teams are easier to coordinate with than HL teams.
I played both for the first time this season. I preferred UGC by a little but some of that may have been because the teams weren't exactly the same and I liked my UGC team a bit more. Either way though, CEVO was fine, both are probably OK choices.

That wasn't what I meant. I meant that not a single team we played even made an attempt to use that.
