Need newbie mix coaches

The winter has thrown in wrench in a lot of peoples schedules, which means Newbie Mixes are having a difficult time making sure everything is running smoothly. We're looking for:

- Coaches, as always, will be needed to teach newbies how to play on fridays. Each mix will last 30-60 minutes, depending on how much the newbies need to be taught before the game starts, and how balanced the teams are. You can coach as much or as little as you want, and we'll call for help via discord/steam when we need people to coach more games. Ideally, all coaches will have gone at least positive in Open.

-Drafting Admins are starting to be needed this year, with our current pool of them being more unavailable as schedules shift around. Drafting Admins are in charge of moderating the channel, constructing the teams for the mixes, and answering questions in between games. While Drafting Admins sometimes have a larger time commitment into Newbie Mixes than coaches, it mainly requires you to just be in mumble, and not necessarily TF2. Ideally, Drafting Admins would have some form of community reputation, and be able to answer any question the newbies have about competitive TF2.

It's predominantly volunteer work, but Newbie Mixes has played it's part in stabilizing the lower level of the competitive community for years by constantly facilitating the influx of newer players into the scene. Even though for some it's difficult to help out on a consistent basis, assisting even once a month can be the difference maker in our ability to run at the capacity we strive to achieve.

If you fit the criteria and would like to help out, or have any questions, add me or pm me on discord Jarrett#1250 and I can give you the information you need. Thank you.

Hey guys, I feel like I've posted this a million time but here we go

PLEASE support newbie mixes in any way you can. It brings people from the scary waters of "i want to maybe try this thing" onto the boat of "hell yeah this rocks" better than anything else in our community. It always has, and Jarrett is working hard to ensure it always will. Please help him in doing this. It only takes a few hours every few weeks!!!

We could use more coaches!

Every Friday night (9PM EST) we'll be running newbie mixes-- and we need coaches each week to fill a 3-4 hour time slot. This does not mean that you have to show up every Friday night OR play for 3+ hours. It tends to be a very relaxed environment and isn't exactly a terrible way to spend your Friday night. Coaching takes maybe an hour in total-- you'll go over map rollouts, callouts, and holds on mid/second/last. We generally run Process, Snake, Gully and sometimes Sunshine. I promise it's super easy and we'll help you along the way.

We do ask for our coaches to have some experience, though! The general rule is for you to have gone 8 - 8 in ESEA open without FFWs. Admin discretion applies and like I said-- we need coaches. The Open requirement is not a "hard" requirement. PM one of us admins or make a quick post in our discord in order to get a response any day other than Friday. If it's Friday night please feel more than welcome to pop in and ask to coach! We may ask for your ESEA and Steam accounts.

It is a lot of fun and has been a major contribution to the 6v6 community for years. Please help Newbie Mixes continue to assist new players in getting into a great competitive community.
