To track ubers I look at the server time left when the enemy team used. So if the server says 24:20 left when they used I will know best case scenario they will have uber at 23:40 but more realistically around 23:25~23:30. Sometimes I forget to check the time though. I'm wondering if it's possible I could make a bind that would say in team chat t "Enemy team used" but it would show the server time left along with the bind, resembling something like:
23:40 Phantom (Team): Enemy team used
So if I forget to check manually hopefully my muscle memory will remember for me and I can look up in the chat log what time they used.

idk if you can do this exactly but im fairly sure you can bind a key to timeleft and like every time you hit tab it says how how much time is left in chat and you do dem quickmafs in your head
slin also had some complicated hud element timer bar thing at one point not sure if it still works or how useful it was but that is a thing you can do

"timeleft" in console shows server time
"timeleft" in console shows server time
Okay so if I do
bind t timeleft; say_team "Enemy team used" it should do what im looking for but in two different messages I think? Close enough

I just went ahead and tried this. The first time i used it it said "Enemy used" in team chat and put the time left in the server in chat for me to see. It is two separate messages, one to team chat and one that only you can see. Subsequent presses only gave server time left but didn't say_team "enemy used" but i'm not sure what i need to fiddle with to fix that?
edit: The bind you want is Bind "z" "say_team Enemy Team Used; timeleft" and you won't get that problem, you just gotta swap things around.

p sure you gotta put quotes around both the thing youre saying in chat and the two part command so its gotta be like bind t "say_team 'Enemy team used'; timeleft" but i may be mistaken

it's working for me now as is but i'll try with and without the quotes to see!
Snap of how it looks in chat now: https://imgur.com/a/SWZBM
Paste data of my config, sans all the extra quotations. https://pastebin.com/wcc810Ce
EDIT: typing bind "z" "say_team Enemy Uber Used";"Timeleft" gave me timeleft when i entered the server, but then only displayed the Enemy Uber Used when i clicked the bind. I'm going to stick without the quotes for now and see if i find this kind of thing useful. ^.^

Pretty awesome trick. I remember trying to do this but failing.
How long does the time left message/chat message stay on screen? is it configurable in some way?

does anyone remember how prec used to have the option of bookmarks being shown onscreen? like shown on screen
the command was
prec_notify 2
is there a way to do the same for this?
