Pyro/ heavy will probably be "pocket" classes as far as defending medics go (even from range pyro's flames are good at providing camo more or less: try hitting one while they're w-m1'ing it's tough to judge where they are. Heavy is heavy.) With the standard pocket class no longer being full time soldier, I see the Air Strike opening up a new way to play - transitional, from roamer to pocket. You can even run shotgun on roamer this way (if you want), as the Air Strike has reduced self damage due to the lower per rocket damage. Since your objective on mids is basically bombing in/ getting airshots, the smaller splash damage radius is basically ignored (so spawning with it after you die is the brain afk play, it's a shitty spam gun). However, assuming you get a kill or two, you are now a fed soldier: if your pocket went down you can fill in better, OR you can jump after their medic and be 99% guaranteed to force (since you can't milk a fully loaded Air Strike bomb or you drop your uber).
Prove me wrong, I'm only sharing this because my DM is too shitty to ever hope to pull it off for myself.
