I haven't been playing tf2 in almost a month because I've been getting a bit bored with playing competively with my team and don't wanna play pubs or anything either. Is it normal to have breaks for a little while? I hope I get back to tf2 because it's such a big part of my life already... Any way to try and get back into it?

Go play another game you don't see other people with 100+ hours every two weeks. The only reason people still play this game because their friends play. This game isn't the best but find something that you like, it just annoys me seeing someone making a post about a game being boring and yet they are on the forums.

Just find something that is fun to you whether it be comp tf2 or something else, it is your choice.

Try taking the competitive part a little less seriously and just focus on playing with friends to have fun. This is coming from a guy who has quit the game at least 4 or 5 times for multiple month breaks each time. Every time it would be me taking comp too seriously to the point where I just wanted to win and improve and left out playing with friends and doing what makes me happy.
I started playing again in the summer and I've been with friends all along the way and I'm still goin strong.

dont like/not having fun = dont play
having fun = play.
if youre just overplaying but still enjoy the game in general then get yourself cs:go or dota2 or sc2 and play those when you find yourself becoming bored with the game.
