around once every hour of gameplay tf2 for me will freeze on a frame and loop the past audio clip for around 20 seconds before stuttering around 10 seconds forward in time and doing the same thing. This will last around a minute or so before the game unfreezes and I can resume playing. The rest of my computer continues to work fine, its just tf2 thats breaking.

I had the same issue a while back and it turned out my PC was overheating, I've now made it a habit to restart my pc twice a week to prevent this.
