froyotech roll through Se7en, guaranteeing themselves a slot in the Grand Finals after a 2-0 victory. (5-0 Gullywash, 5-0 Granary)
Se7en and froyotech face off once again, the titans of their respective regions. Coming off of victories in the Upper Round of 6, both teams are determined to book their train to the Grand Finals and determine which continent reigns supreme in competitive TF2.
Gullywash
froyotech started off strong on Gullywash, breezing through Se7en on mid and rolling all the way to the European team’s last point, easily putting a point on the board in just two minutes. In the second round, Se7en were able to capture the mid point, but their numbers were too low to secure the point for long, with froyotech pushing into the team’s second. Another swift push through Se7en’s defenses secure froyotech yet another point on the board, bringing the first map 2-0. froyotech’s aggression would repeat, bringing Se7en to their last point once again. Shortly after Se7en deflected froyotech’s aggression onto their last, the game was paused and Permzilla was brought in place of kaptain, who left to return to his hotel room, due to health concerns. After the player shuffle, Se7en attempted to push out onto their second, but froyotech reaggressed and wiped Se7en going into their last, bringing the game to a 3-0 scoreline. Continued aggression from froyotech built up froyotech’s scoreline more and more, bumping the score even farther into froyotech’s favor 4-0. Se7en finally obtained their first mid in the fifth round, but the mid was quickly swapped by froyotech. froyotech eventually moved into Se7en’s last, taking the first map in a clean 5-0.
Granary
On Granary Pro, froyotech barely won the first mid, with both teams wiping to only one soldier on each team. Drackk ultimately conceded the point to froyotech and froyotech went on to capture Se7en’s last point and bring the score 1-0. Se7en finally managed to gain some hope in the second round, controlling mid and froyotech’s yard. However, a failed kritz pushed Se7en back to their own last and a dominant push by froyotech stomped Se7en and brought the scoreline 2-0 in favor of froyotech. Se7en’s next mid proved successful, allowing them to push all the way to froyotech’s last. Despite the time Se7en were able to put onto the point, habib and shade were just barely able to hold the last point, pushing Se7en back to the mid. After multiple player trades over six minutes, froyotech pushed onto Se7en’s last once again, pushing the score up 3-0. The next round, froyotech were able to continue pushing forward thanks in part to a successful Kritz onto blaze, giving froyotech the second point securely. After a failed kritz push onto last, froyotech pushed again, successfully picking off Raymon and dissecting Se7en, giving themselves the last point and bringing the game 4-0. Another round continued and eventually, froyotech won 5-0.
froyotech proceed to the Grand Finals and Se7en fall to the Lower Bracket Finals, where they will face off against either Ascent or the winner of SVIFT NA vs black swan.
