So last night Froyotech became the first team to break six-figures in total tournament earnings for 6v6 which hasn't happened before in the history of the game.
Obviously they have won a bit more than this thanks to sigafoo but lol 7's...

with the amount the top teams win every tournament it certainly doesn't feel like six figures. i guess it adds up after a few years huh

Nice. Froyotech can almost afford to sponsor an OW pro's salary for a year.

Try to keep in mind how many players have been in the lineup since then though too. Grant's been the longest mainstay.

in his 11 seasons on froyo, he would have made $16,500, given that the money was distributed evenly every season (which it probably wasn't, due to tournaments + coming third in s20)

The site's numbers are slightly under the actual numbers, as a few of the smaller tournaments don't get counted (most notably sigafoo money and Essentials.tf monthlies), but it does give a good estimate for the relative earnings of different players.

I don't know how relevant that is, I was more making the point that not everyone reaped the benefits in the same way. Obviously Grant has done a lot better with winnings than, say, phorofor or TLR. I mean fuck, this goes back so far that RUWIN played on this team.
