Internet Lag?

I have really good fiber optic internet and it says i have low ping but i

teleport on occasion. Some days I'm completely fine on one server then I get

nasty teleport lag on others on the same servers. Anyone have a suggestion? I

have the plugs connected well maybe something is interfering? I can alt tab and

surf the internet no problem..

Have you set up

your internet settings properly

in your autoexec?

Also, if you're on a network with

other people they might be using the

internet and slowing yours down.

you might be getting bad routing to the server, run a traceroute to the server IP. also check ur rate and overall network settings

I get the direct modem to computer connection so no one is slowing my internet. I think i should look in my autoexec actually. Is it better for me to select the better connection speed thing?

What do you mean by bad routing? I don't know how to run a traceroute explain further and thank you for responding.

i tried both connections on the high fps config by chris and neither seem to be helping.

i have no idea what is wrong with my internet the net graph shows a good ping and choke 0 my in is normally less than or equal to my out is that okay?

check to make sure nothing is overheating your network card, had this problem awhle back and gave me random lag spikes

network card? You mean what my ethernet cable is connected to in my computer? I checked and it looked like it was connected to some silver thing next to my mobo. I didn't see any card o.e

fucking missing my scrim because of this shit. I'm so pissed at my isp my family is getting perfect internet as am i except i'm getting shit skype quality and shit tf2 quality. I don't mean to rage but I just wish someone could share their input.

edit: I played a singleplayer game on steam and now the problem isn't persisting
