Hi again, nutha laptop thread:)
Need a laptop for uni starting September.
Needs to be:
Lightweight (mobility); fast, even when it has a lot of stuff on it, as a slow computer will annoy me; long lasting, this is going to be my study item for like 5-7 years so I don't mind investing as long as its good; Ideally I want 12-16gb ram and an SSD('s); and a long battery life; backlit keys.
Doesn't necessarily need to game but if it does then its a bonus, meaning a sick GPU isnt necessary aslong as it can run like twitch in source mode etc and films if needed in HD.

Soz for laptop thread but need help:)

dude, sounds like you know exactly what you want, what do you need from a forum?
Just literally type all those key-words into amazon or newegg or bestbuy.

Dell xps's are pretty nice. You can get one with a quad core i5 and a gtx 1050 for around 1000 usd. Not sure what that would be in euros. DDR4 isn't cheap right now though so getting 16 GB's is going to cost you

http://amzn.eu/0bVHa4Q

I bought one of these last year for uni work and gaming, and has been working well so far. Comes with 8GB of RAM, but I believe it can be expanded as there are 2 slots for memory, but doing so would void the warranty. Gaming works well on it, can run TF2 at 1280x720 and mastercom's medium preset at around 80-140 fps. Also uses nVidia Optimus, which can be a major pain in the ass as the laptop doesn't have an output from the GPU itself.
