My new config makes my game crash when I alt tab... Anything I can delete or do to stop it?

Try running window mode without borders, if you have -dxlevel XX in your launch options, delete this, it causes lags while alt-tabbing.
Actually it's possible that you're out of memory.

dont want to make a thread but now when i alt tab my game takes forever to tab back in, and then after i do, i get 1-2 choke constant and screen tearing. what happened. (after i updated mastercomfig fps config)

If you have windows 10 turn off focus assist on your windows options
CrimeScene-fullscreen -w 1920 -h 1080 -console -novid -high
Try to add -noborder -windowed, i heard it helped some people to fix it.
Also i found a thread where some random guy had the same issue because of virus, check your PC
