After SVIFT posted a tweet about their new South American roster, eklipse left the roster and was swiftly replaced by Spamfest, an American player most well known for their tenures with The Sparkle Gang and TFCrew.
SVIFT SA was formed in December of 2017 as SVIFT seeked to spread its wings across yet another continent. The roster, briefly brandishing the famous powah, dominated the Legatus divison in Chapelaria Season 3, the highest division of competitive TF2 in South America, with an undefeated 12-0 run in the regular season. In the grand final of the league, SVIFT SA took down Bee Work in a clean 3-0 series and were crowned the champions of South American TF2.
We spoke to ninjax, the team's Argentinian scout, who was able to tell us about the new South American roster.
I feel like this season will be just like our previous one, as in that we'll be more of a project team that tries to teach new up-and-coming people how to play the game with our more experienced players.
Regardless of that, we're always aiming to win any competition we play since that's also why we try to get new people into the team; we value motivation and the drive to improve over anything else.
With the upcoming South American season drawing near, SVIFT SA's roster is now:
- Scout: ninjax
- Scout: Spamfest
- Roamer: jão
- Pocket: legit
- Demoman: akrom
- Medic: pepito
