season 11 was really good, pretty sure thats the one where flow choked on lan

Imo, most entertaining was about S11-15 when LAN was about to be axed for the 5th time (oh, and an employee at ESEA shadow mined bitcoin on everyone's gaming rig at this time and fried a nice handful of GPU and CPUs along the way.) and every #1-5 invite team were actually comparable to each other instead of it being #1 against the world.

The seeding from regular season to actual placement basically flopped
1st seed (Flow) got 4th
2nd seed (br0) got 3rd
4th seed (Mix^) got 2nd
3rd seed (LG) got 1st
Really confusing seeing a LG team at the bottom of Invite but also as the winners of LAN. Did LG pickup the "don't trip" team after regular season but before LAN?

season 15 lan had to have been the absolute best lan tf2 has ever had
a lot of the matches were genuinely entertaining, and it culminated into a great grand finals with mix^(mostly squid) talking shit and conga taunting banny in an insanely back and forth set.
i wasn't too integrated with the scene back then, but out of all my friends who were watching, all of us wanted to see mix^ win to end banny's win streak, and we got that in the most entertaining way possible
conversely, the worst imo had to have been season 14. only interesting part were the tri hards which had the potential to be a #1 threat, but they got fucked over on the quick fix lan anyway

For EU, I think the award has to go to one of the seasons of the i49 era, with the strong top3 of epsilon, broder and crack clan battling at the top.
