For about the past week I've noticed a severe change in my gameplay. Hitting less shots that I'd always hit,and even end up missing so many basic shots. I haven't done anything to change my config or setup or anything like that. My damage has been under 8k for the most part, where I'd usually be getting 10k-12k. Am I going insane? Should I take a break? Am I just going through a rough patch? Any help is appreciated.
No offense but unless you're a HL demo or something, hitting 10k-12k a game is huge. Maybe you had a very good run, and now you have a rough patch of sorts so you'd be jumping from one extreme to the next ?
burnout, but what the guy above said is also true. And maybe you started playing with better people
if you feel burnt out and nothing seems to be working in your favor i recommend taking a break. maybe don't play any tf2 over this weekend and see how it feels later.
from what i've learned, if you're contemplating on whether you should take a break from tf2 or not, you probably should.
take a few day break, remove yourself from gaming and computer time
you are going through a rough patch, everyone goes through it
PLEASE dont change your sens, settings, setup... play with what you were comfortable with

Probably, yeah. Just frustrates me when I hit under 9 or 8k

why are south americans the only ones that say their damage as a total rather than as damage per minute has anyone else noticed this
also +1 for taking a break the best way to get better at tf2 is to not play it

Im not South American :<
But yeah, dpm is more relevant. Before I hit this wall I'd be getting around 350-400 dpm for soldier and around 300 dpm for demo. Now it's under 250 most of the time for both of them
