Hello, I was thinking of getting a ryzen 3 2200g and using it to stream tf2, I will be playing at 720p. This video
https://youtu.be/ePpRrI3AQ5E?t=272
Shows that you can get about 100 or more while playing 720p low. If i play on 720p with comanglia config or mastercomfig max performance, will i be able to get atleast 60 fps while streaming at 720p 60 fps?

60 FPS is a bit low to play this game competitively m8
I would spend the extra $100 and get a dedicated GPU and R5 1600 for streaming. A gtx 750 should be enough for tf2 @1080p.
what's a gtx 740?
gtx 750*
It is a extremely cheap low end graphics card that is more than capable of TF2 @ 144+ FPS with a graphics config. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Gigabyte-NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-750-GV-N750oc-1GI-1G-DDR5-PCI-E-HDMI-DVI-Graphics/163178150981?hash=item25fe2cfc45%3Ag%3A1boAAOSwVnlajsHO&_sop=15&_sacat=0&_nkw=gtx+750&LH_BIN=1&_from=R40&rt=nc&_dcat=27386
are you sure it's worth it ? the igpu in the ryzen cpu seems pretty fast

did you see the video? don't you think i will get like 200+ fps with dx8 and max performance config?

As i don't think anybody who has a ryzen 3 2200g is awake currently and will respond here, I assume that i will be going with the ryzen 3 2200g, if there is any drops in fps below 60 fps, i will just stream in 720p30

You will probably get some bad stuttering while streaming if my exspirience with a 4690k @ 4.5ghz is anything to go by. Will probably run great otherwise.

can i choose the vega igpu as the encoder?

Wait for our lord Setsul to reply on this thread. Don’t rush it (Should also prob listen to screwb about that gpu tho)

can i get something like that for a gpu? I'm not really into competitive anymore so really i'm fine with 70 fps while streaming.

750ti is an exclusively better 750, so yeah. But just wait for better advice from someone with better knowledge before you jump the gun.

Thing that cost more is better. Who would have thought? If this is exclusively a TF2 streaming machine (from what OP has said so far nothing else has been implied) there is no practical difference between a 750 and 750ti in this use case.

You can edit your posts, triple posts are wholly unnecessary.
What is the goal here? If you're going to buy new mobo and RAM for 150$ or more to upgrade to a more powerful CPU and then and up getting the cheapest Desktop CPU that AMD is currently selling you might want to reconsider.
Why do you need an APU? Do you not have a GPU?
If you want to use GPU encoding why not use your current GPU, or if it is ancient enough not to support why not buy a new GPU instead of CPU+RAM+mobo?

"Why do you need an APU? Do you not have a GPU?" i probably should have said that i'm building a new pc and that i have a laptop currently which features an intel i3-2310m and HD graphics 3000 igpu and a gt 225m which is basically can't be used because of heating problems, i currently get 70-120 (capped) fps with mastercomfig but it drops to 40-50 fps very often. I don't think it's hard to guess that i need an APU because i don't have a GPU and planning to save money by not buying one. but i think you kind of misunderstood because you thought i have a desktop, i probably should have gave more info on my current setup. I have an old laptop and i'm planning to buy a budget build with a ryzen 3 2200g and i was wondering if anyone who has a ryzen 3 2200g can test it or someone knowledgeable can give me more information on whether he thinks it will be possible to use gpu encoding with the vega 8. Anyhow it doesn't matter that much i'm just trying to get some additional info, if i try to stream 720p60 and it doesn't work, i will just switch to 30 fps, Simple.

Alright, so as someone who actually uses the ryzen 3 2200g I can confirm that the igpu is more than capable of running tf2 at 720p at a good framerate (200+ fps in 6s).
I've also tried streaming with this setup and got around 140fps on average, although that may have been with software encoding and the vega does support VEC so you may or may not get better results than me.
I recommend you overclock the cpu and possibly the igpu with the ryzen master if your cooling allows it because it does boost frames by a decent amount.

Thank you, This is what i wanted to know, Did you stream 60 fps?
edit : did you use a fps config?

I think I streamed at 60fps but I'm not completely sure. As a fps config I used mastercomfig max performance.

this is a bit off topic but does anyone know the overlay the person in the vid is using?
