-protonykmustardoverlord-protomagisk/device/dupreeh could easily be replaced with similar fraggers with little impact to core Astralis play.
lol
this is one of the worst statements ive seen
how so?
Even if it's accepted that magisk, device and dupreeh arent some of the greatest individually at their roles, team chemistry is so fucking important of course it would have a huge difference to how astralis play. Astralis themselves changed only one player from kjarbye to magisk and their approach to the game shifted massively.
Even B4nny can't get past this fact, the froyo lineup with ash (post i55)and their i58 roster weren't as good as other iterations due to their weaker team chemistry.
Astralis doesn't dominate just due to their tactics, if so why has literally no other team been able to replicate it with individually better players

also, much like the ash and i58 froyo rosters, their team WOULDN'T be as good individually because device, dupreeh and magisk are some of the best players in the game
please, show me a combination of 3 danish star players that could remotely approach their level. you need an entry fragger, a more passive player who holds down solo spots on ct, and an awper, ideally one with very good rifles as well. go ahead, present an alternative.

aizy konfig jugi lol. magisk was pretty lacklustre before joining astralis. i think you're severely underestimating how many danish players can compete at the highest level. you walked right into this one mustard.

I walked right into hearing you say that a team with gla1ve, xyp9x, aizy, konfig and jugi would be the most dominant team in the world?
let's see how much support you get for that

magisk was the best player by far on north and optic

I'm not sure if it's because I missed a decent portion of the group stage or the troll announcement, but this was probably one of the most disappointing tournies I've watched in awhile. All of the roster changes lately have been awful. Fnatic and c9 are probably going to be in hospice for the next half year or so. Snax has managed to turn mouz into vp part 2. MiBR look a lot better w/ stew and tarik but I just can't help but feel like there are so other better players they could have tried to pickup but who knows. NiP, FaZe, NaVi, mouz, and Liquid all are a roster move away from being really good teams but I doubt anything exciting will actually happen in the off season.

do u seriously believe jugi and aizy are even CLOSE to the brilliance of device and dupreeh?

i see what proto is trying to communicate but hes definitely forgetting the fact that xyp, dupreeh, device have played with eachother for like 4+ years lol, i think what hes trying to communicate is that magisk, device, dupreeh, while being good and among the best in the world, arent the best at their respective roles and can be overshadowed by players like s1mple, niko, etc, while xyp and glaive are arguably the best at their respective roles especially right now.

mate dupreeh is probably the best entry fragger in the world right now
dev1ce doesnt have the most flashy playstyle but his awping is at least as effective as s1mple
you may not like their playstyles cause they arent as flashy as navi etc but to call astralis and the way they play cs "bad for the game" is probably the dumbest thing ive read in a long time

Astralis play such beautiful counter strike, they truly deserved to win as they put together a masterpiece performance. But I disagree with a lot of you and think this is good for the scene. SK played a dominant style, won back to back majors, and then teams adapted and won. With Astralis’ dominance for now, teams will be forced to adapt so that they can win. Teams will start to make roster moves, coaching moves, and tactical developments in a effort to keep up and break that style. The right mix of players are out there, they may even be together, it’s a matter of time before Astralis get dethroned though.

I didn't mean other BR players, autimatic would've been a much better choice imo and since Fnatic got bored and felt like demolishing their own roster KRIMZ would be a solid pickup for any team atm.

Yea I wasn't necessarily saying that realistically that could have happened, rather in hindsight it feels like a lot of the mediocre signings by several top teams have come back to haunt them. I doubt anything will match NaVi signing electronic but I can hope...
