feels like my polling rate is dropping to like 15Hz randomly
So I've ruled out some options:
cant be inference with my motherboard as it's plugged into a separate dongle
other usb wireless devices seem to be ok
wireless adaptor is right next to mouse so not a distance issue
not a mouse issue. same problem on 3 separate mice

I think logitech mice operate on a 2.4GHz band, which is the same as wifi and I am right next to my router
Mousepad? i dont have any other mousepads so idk how to compare

Plug a mouse dongle into the mouse cable (can't speak for other mice, but g403 has an adapter for this) and put it on your table/next to the mouse and see if the problem still occurs.
Did you try to disable your Wi-Fi? Logitech is using a proprietary radio protocol instead of Bluetooth and it may hit your wi-fi channels. You can try to disable it first and see if it helps. If it does, try picking other channels in your router settings.

cant exactly disable the wifi while living with people. To clarify i have the wireless adaptor right next to the mouse, on the edge of my mousepad. Thought it was the mouse at first but it's done this for all my mice.
i will try to switch the entire wifi network to 5GHz instead and see if that helps

basically i just changed the wifi channel (keeping everything at 2.4GHz) and everything seems to be fine. Note you cant change the channel on the mouse u have to change it on the wifi (thx 200).

i tested this by playing a twitch stream on my phone when no one else was on the network. I found the jitters only to happen when i was viewing the twitch stream and they went away when i turned it off. After I changed the wifi channel i did the same test and everything was fine with the stream on or off. Should be good now.

Yeah my router is on the edge of my mouse pad basically. A foot and a half away at all times

I own a G305 and I noticed some jitter whilst playing the other night.
Anecdotally my WiFi router is less than 2 feet from my mouse and receiver as well. I will try disabling the 5GHz range and report back.

Well you guys can both resolve the issue for good by moving the router to be over 1 meter away from your setup, could try to move it up or down as well.

the mouse runs at 2.4GHz so you would have to disable that and use 5GHz, but not all devices can use 5GHz so tread carefully

Resurrecting this thread after having bought a G305 and experienced a similar issue last night.
1st make sure the receiver is about ~20cm / ~8in from the center of your mousepad/mousing area
2.4GHz interference
1. Make sure your Router/Access Point is at least ~1 meter / ~3.3ft away from your mouse and receiver.
2. If you're playing from a laptop try to use 5GHz for wireless internet. (preferable to just go wired and turn the wireless on your laptop off...)
3. If you're still having issues move Router/Access Point further away if it's right at that ~1m/3.3ft range.
a. If your router is ~5+m / 16+ft away it's almost certainly not the issue
b. If you can't move your Router/Access Point any further than ~2m / ~6.6ft away try changing the 2.4GHz channel or disabling 2.4GHz on the router. Consult Router/Access Point manufacturer or the manual it came with for directions on how to do so.
4. Don't place 2.4GHz wireless devices next to the Receiver/Mouse. Most typically your Cell Phone. At least try to keep it on the other side of the desk or turn the wireless off on your phone.
USB Interference
Avoid having the Receiver in a port adjacent to a USB 3 port that has frequent data transfers (typically flash drives and external hard drives but may apply to more). Apparently USB 3 data transfer hits some of the 2.4GHz spectrum and may cause interference in the immediate area around the USB port.
This can be easily avoided by using the extension dongle most of these mice come with and placing it close to your mousepad which is usually ~0.6m/~2ft away from any other USB ports...

For those of you using a G305 or any other wireless mouse where you're using foil + a battery and the above problems don't apply to you, this may be an issue. Try replacing/moving your foil and battery so it's actually secure or just get an actual adapter / the intended battery size.
