You used to be able to run through as many contracts as you had available, but now you can only count points towards one at a time, even if you have more than one open.
This makes TF2 super boring because you're not focused on having fun or learning, you're focused on your stupid contract.
Maybe they're trying to have the playerbase feel like pros? Stupid excuse considering most people get more from their side hustles than from their 9-5's nowadays

This made more sense when I wrote it
That said, one contract open at a time is stupid and slows the whole contracts thing down. I'm just glad they compensated by removing the time limit.
