I've been using a lawn chair for sitting at my desk all my life and my posture is there to prove it. With black friday and cyber monday coming up, I need recommendations for something I can sit on for hours on end without it negatively affecting my health.
Details: I'm slightly above 6 foot 1 inch. I would like not to spend more than €500, but if the chair is really good I will pull out the extra for it. Chair must be COMFY and support my whole back. The more adjustable, the better, but I'm hoping that with a budget like that I shouldn't have too many worries about lack of customizability.
My local retailer (the only one worth buying from in Malta) has DXRacer Formula, Racing, and King chairs on sale. If anybody has experience with these chairs, please let me know. Especially if they're good for a tall boy like me

just get a decent office chair, its a waste to spend more than ~€200 on a chair, even if its also your workstation an office chair with lower back support is the best option

A lot of people say that gaming chairs are overpriced. I see this post a lot in r/buildapcsales with recommendations. Here is one: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/9k4yw5/are_gaming_chairs_worth_it_or_are_they_gimmicky/

This is a very popular non gaming desk chair and the one I have. Very tall back with good support. Often goes on sale for $100 also.

I got myself the dxracer f series and i love it. I'm 183cm and when I removed the lower back pillow the chair got suuuper comfy. Best bet is to go to a store that has the chairs on display and available for testing. Thats what I did anyway

So, contrary to what some people may have said in this thread, do not skimp on a chair. If you game a lot, get something good and don't do permanent damage to your back. It's an investment in your future. Look at b4nny.
Years of sitting like this

and carrying shade's bitch ass have put stress on his back that is likely irreparable and will most certainly haunt him in future years.
I recommend actually going places and trying out chairs if you can. You don't have to buy from that store, but go sit in the chairs and demo them so you know which to order. Different people prefer different chairs, so if you go off recommendations you're basically going in blind. I know people who like Herman Miller Aerons, I know people who prefer Steelcase or Knoll chairs, I've heard people say those gaming chairs are comfy. I don't game as much anymore, so I use an Eames Group chair, and it suits my needs. Bottom line: you gotta actually go sit in them to find out what's best for you. It's like buying a mattress.
As for good places to buy, idk about Malta, but here in the US, when offices relocate, the cost and logistics of moving all that furniture isn't worth it, so they often quick sell everything to 3rd party retailers. Basically used office furniture stores. You can find quality stuff in very good condition for a fraction of retail price.
