I'm looking for headphones to buy and am having trouble finding anything. Anybody have any recommendations? (preferably less than $60)

AKG i would say
audiotechnica no longer makes the ad2k or a900x which were their only good and reasonably priced headphones really. R70x might be good but i havent heard it
their closed backs are mega aids

Those are more likely to break when you drop them and aren't as good at noise cancellation, from what I've heard.
Might be better sound quality, but not something I'd wearing when operating a stamping press.
