also cheap audiotechnicas are garbThose are more likely to break when you drop them and aren't as good at noise cancellation, from what I've heard.
Might be better sound quality, but not something I'd wearing when operating a stamping press.

AKG i would say

audiotechnica no longer makes the ad2k or a900x which were their only good and reasonably priced headphones really. R70x might be good but i havent heard it

their closed backs are mega aids

I would recommend one of the matias quiet click keyboards.
They are basically a modern ALPS clone and are both quieter and more satisfying to type on (imho) than browns or any of the cherry linear switches.

SketchyballzyI've tried both and Im currently using my backup pair of m30x, they're good headphones but I'd prefer something a little more open.In that case, if you have the funds, I would recommend the Sennheiser HD 600.

The HD600 is an excellent headphone but if you like the beyer tonality you probably won't find the HD600 all that interesting. Also it's not very open sounding for an open headphone tbh.

If you like the beyer sound (warm with treble spike), I'd stick with something from beyer - if not another 990, maybe a 1990.
Budget though?
