you definitely made the implication. What do you want esea to do, buy you a personal firewall for ddos protection? There's nothing they could do about it other than overturn/reschedule matches in which ddos attacks took place.

you can't do this either unless you're a server admin or the server has a plugin that displays the ips of people who are connecting. servers only publicly give out steamid by default.

if you want to play competitive video games at a high level, this is just something that you'll need to keep in the back of your mind at all times.

please keep in mind that these guys have lists of everyone's ip, so before you mask you should change your ip. masking won't do anything if they already have your ip documented.

If I were admin of esea, I would've issued some bans and forced some rematches just to make clear that ddos will simply not get you to the top.

Although this can help, I don't think this is the solution to the problem. There's always going to be the one person on a team that didn't protect their IPs or whatever, and the match is going to get ruined anyway. You can only keep diverting the DDoSers for so long. What's going to happen if they DDoS LAN or even the charity event?

The playground vs crunchy bunch match was ddos'd on tftv. Before the ddoss is was 4-0 in favor of playground and once the d'dosser attacked it quickly became a 4-5 in favor of crunchy.

Playground Tactics went up 4-0 on Crunchy Bunch, they then drop a player and proceed to lose the next 5 rounds because they were playing 5v6.

While it may not be crunchy's fault for the ddosing, they could have been mature and: 5v5, forfeit, or just wait longer for Rikachu. Instead, they forced the time to be cut back, and when they realized that Playground could win with a heavy pocket, Crunchy had a player go heavy alongside the pocket and demo and brought it back from their last to Playgrounds.
