this, and also wanna add that we first thought of taking the velocity roster but the roster transactions left on the team weren't enough for the people we wanted to get on it (no one on velocity besides ether wanted to keep playing since they weren't making playoffs)
i know this is late but i was also involved in talks of keeping the vel roster alive, but we realized that by the time we would have gotten everybody on the roster the team would have likely hit the max amount of forfeit losses and the roster would have died. this is the main reason i decided to join an IM team first, then ether and krypt followed

Invite wouldn't have worked logistically and many of our players, including myself, don't have the time or will to play invite. Plus mason, mustard, and phantom hit the nail on the head about scrimming / rosters that have been together for weeks, which we have not. We could very easily place outside the top 5.
My only goal was to resurrect the Faint roster to finish the season to completion.
