With the final season of ESEA Invite set to begin in the coming days, Rebirth Esports have announced their acquisition of the corn100 roster. The squad formed over two weeks ago as yet another iteration of the cafe monster roster, which was last seen in Season 26 and later under the SVIFT NA banner that same season.
Rebirth Esports was created by KenzieMullican, the former owner of Velocity eSports, before the organization was later given to the players. Under the ownership of the players, Velocity eSports eventually dissolved after the roster disbanded at the end of Season 30, later forming Space Pirates.
We caught up with KenzieMullican, who described their goals with their new organization and roster.
I'm really excited to be back in esports with a fresh start. The founding of Rebirth has been in the works since before I retired from Velocity with the expectations of jumping right back into TF2.
I am super hyped to get to work with Highfive and the crew over the next season to see what we can accomplish with this new organization! My personal main goal is to break the 4th curse that I have as a team sponsor with my ultimate goal being to knock off Froyo in the last ESEA season.
I have give a MASSIVE thank you to Jarrett for helping me stay in tune during the off season with which rosters were forming and his insight into the game.
We also spoke to highfive, who gave their thoughts with great brevity.
kenzie is awesome. that is all.
The rebirthed roster of Rebirth Esports is:
- Scout: highfive
- Scout: mu^
- Roamer: garbuglio
- Pocket: aim
- Demoman: delpo
- Medic: zilly
Rebirth Esports' first matches of the Invite season will be against Ford Gaming as well as the aforementioned Space Pirates. Due to the pending status of the ninth Invite team, it is unknown whether the matches will play out on their current scheduled dates.
