irl: After being diagnosed for depression and leaving both school and work for a year and gaining 100 pounds, being able to get therapy, get medicated, get a corporate job, get a gf who I love very much, go back to school doing something I actually am fine with doing (accounting), reconnect with friends, and recently improve my eating and exercise to try and lose the weight.
individual event: recently at work, I got the opportunity to go to corporate and work with my financial manager to help back end bank processing and cashing of a longstanding client's 5 million dollar Cashier's Check and going through the check verifying process and learning back end work and eventually counting all the money and riding in one of those heavily guarded money trucks and being supervised (by men with guns and fully geared) when handling cash/monetary instruments of that size. passing through many security checks and doing this in a group of people to prevent anything from happening. This was something that not many people will ever get to do nor is it something that will happen very often at all and it made me appreciate it so much more.

Started college last month, and I was really worried that I'd get homesick and not adapt to living away from my parents. I haven't been happier in my entire life - living on my own is enjoyable even if it means I don't get to see my dogs or my parents at all. I've met so many friends in the last month and I've been closer to them than I have anyone in high school. There's also enough to do that I'm happy with taking a break this season and not playing tf2 every night which is something I've been meaning to do for a while.
