I feel like these community witch hunts are as much about hurting the person involved as they are about warning people about their actions. Someone coming out of a relationship and accusing their former partner of sexual assault 6 months before the split is a pretty complicated accusation to act on. If this had been handled a lot better by everyone it probably wouldn't have been resulted in a LAN being cancelled and a lot of people being out of money.

I should clarify that I think Dashner seems like a right cunt but the way this has been handled is really really ugly. The glee with which some people react to these things is going to kill the community.

its not glee in this scenario. no one is thriving on drama here or anything we are just really upset this is happening to community figures who we respect and like.

Except if you'd read Console's posts thoroughly you would've read he still believes dashner was improving and still believes he can be saved (which I personally disagree with because since my own experiences I've met other people like them and if there's anything I've learnt since then it's that none of these people will ever change).

This thread was made to clarify one of the reasons LAN admins stepped down.

Dashner actively tried to sabotage a LAN livestream, but sure we're the ones killing the scene.
