Man, you Euros are loaded. We almost have $3k BY THE THIRD DAY. Holy crap. At this rate (obviously it'll taper off eventually, but still), we'll be able to send Lange, ehFk and the crew like three times over...
SalamancerMy one gripe about the finals last year was that Arx and Beta got bitchy about Gravelpit and it ruined that part of the cast. A lot of really interesting stuff was happening but the tone of their cast was pretty much "Gpit sucks."
The tone was "it sucks to cast on stage in case the teams hear us calling utility off classing". I don't think they have a problem with playing the map.

I really hope we can reach the target before the 60 days are up and then raise enough to help the Aussies out. I'd really like to see them have a chance to show what they can do, as they don't even get the opportunity to play EU or US teams at ~100 ping, let alone at LAN.

Where is the money going if the goal isn't reached?
Does it go to tf.tv? multiplay? an individual? also who makes that decision?

It honestly depends on how much we make; if the team decides to go even with the reduced amount, it will go to them. If not, then we haven't entirely figured out where it will go. It could go to Team Immunity, it could go to the i49 prize pool. But, that seems entirely unlikely, at the moment. :)

Lots of people want broder to go and would be willing to donate (same with the Aussies), but it's up to the relevant parties to hold the fundraiser.
I want an American team to go because it adds more credibility (not to mention excitement) to the LAN. I'd rather see EU teams compete to be the best in the world and fail, than compete to be the best in EU alone.

Regardless of whether Broder deserves to go to i49 (and they undoubtedly do), this is the i49 "Send an American Team to Europe" fundraiser. If you start allowing scope creep for additional team funding, you muddy the waters to potential donors. What is my money actually going towards?
This particular fundraiser is not the place to put money for any other purpose, and if you've been donating to the "Send an American Team to Europe" fund with the expectation that it will/should also pay for a European team, you're very misinformed.

I agree with Fraac though, I just looked at plane tickets from Sweden and it's less than £70. They should be able to afford that if they really want to go.
