I stopped watching pro tf2 ~5 years ago, I think a little bit after i52. I started playing the game again and want to catch up on what's happened/happening in the pro scene. Just wondering which players retired, who is still around, which teams are the best, which players to watch for.

seven/crowns/nR/nL were the best euro team in basically all that time and are gone now
froyotech (any banny team) were and are best team in NA through that whole time

adding on to what bum said: froyo continued to dominate NA only dropping 1 season since you left. the kaidus/Starkie team (Se7en) dominated Europe. both froyo and Se7en have held world championships and gone head to head, no other team has been able to win an international lan.
