Mumble Issue

so any website that has a join mumble button straight up does NOTHING if i click it. if mumble is closed, opened, or connected to the server its trying to direct me to, clicking on any redirect buttons will not connect me to the server or move me into the appropriate channel. tried googling but im a boomer so it went poorly. help

What browser do you use? What likely happened is that you clicked a link, had a pop up ask you if you want to open mumble, and you clicked no while accidentally setting it to remember that choice.
You'll have to ruffle around your browser's settings for a bit, I've looked in firefox but I honestly don't know what this setting would be under. Closest I could find is this but I don't have any spare mumble links for me to test it with but it seems about right:

mumble doesnt even pop up as an application for me lmao. discord and everything else does though

Are you on a super old version? Maybe uninstall and reinstall the latest version of Mumble if you haven't already?
