1. If you're talking about doing it for ESEA, this is almost out of the question. ESEA takes their branding + reputation very seriously and I seriously doubt they will just entrust us to manage a LAN finals on our own.
2. In terms of a self-run LAN, from my perspective being an organizer for GXL 2014 trust me when I say this is an almost impossible task to try to make it worth it for the top 4 invite teams to fly out. You need a prize pool close to 10 grand to match ESEA. We had a $2,500 prize pool from GXL because me and Nick donated our own money. We ain't doing that again.
The loss of LAN sucks, but it's also something that's almost impossible to replace without ESEA running it.
Maybe a community funded lan prize pot? That's essentially what Europe did this season, right?
