#531 ESEA-O S24 Happenings/Discussion in TF2 General Discussion
gollywobbler1BubbziFor those who are trying understand how entropy got 12k hr it was due to excessive arrow building as the game wore on, in attempt to catch power surge off guard. There were only a few times that I remember where I thought that you built oddly fast. There were a couple last pushes where you guys pushed in thinking you had uber ad where we just built hard with a scout and had before you got to me. The arrow building did deny our last second kritz push though..

Wasn't there another time we tried to push last with what we thought was ad and got ubered on halfway through? I swear that happened once before the kritz.

We were struggling really hard on our pushes for our part, and lasts in particular. Can't speak for the other team. I think we were pretty intimidated by them too, since they're the toughest opponent we've had so far by a large margin, which led to us playing very very passively and leaning really hard on Zoey to get picks and set up "can't lose" pushes for us. There were a few pushes where we spent too long deciding whether we wanted to go or not, and some where we just had lapses and pushed in a silly way that didn't fit the situation. I need to actually stand on the point more in future as well.

I think luck was a factor too. There were times we got pushed where people just happened to hit every shot they needed to, or the point came very close to being capped but just didn't quite make it. The whole thing had a real game of inches feel to it, which is why I feel so strongly it could have so easily gone either way. I don't think we could've recovered from going down 3-0 for example if that had happened, and it nearly did more than once.

It made it a really tense game to play too, but incredibly fun. That'll most likely be the highlight of the season for me.

Posting for the first time basically ever because holy SHIT what a game. GG to Rope, closest game I've ever played. Could so easily have gone either way, and was so tense all the way through. GL in the rest of your season and I really hope we see you guys in playoffs!

There's no rule against UGC threads here, but posting in the UGC forums is good advice. You're likely to have a lot more success.

Sandbagging is deplorable and harms our already too small community.

Easily one of the nicest people I've ever met in TF2. Consistently calm, cool to hang out with, not a dick. Smart player with a keen interest in the game, and great DM. Really really can't go wrong with him.

Check out the newbie mix drive too. I think that's still going on. Not entirely sure how it works or whether they're still accepting people, but definitely worth looking into.

I'm not actually on this team. I've tried out for it, and more tryouts may happen, but I haven't committed.

Nice is accurate. So is dedicated and smart. Haven't seen many people improve as quickly as Red. Switched mains in open with no experience on fragging classes, MGE'd/DMed every day, went over maps with mentors, went over demos with mentors... I don't see any reason why the rate of improvement will slow down.

Determined, smart, and calm player who seems almost untiltable on pocket, even in bad environments.
