Loved scrimming his team. He's super friendly and he pulls off incredible plays. Definitely a solid player.

Oh, this is how the beam used to look. Not sure when but, there was an update in which Valve made the dxlevel 81 Medigun beam really bright along with teleporters.
How to get that back?
From what I know, without using a custom thing, there's not an exact way to make your beam look like that again, BUT, as others have posted, by changing your viewmodel_fov around and turning off viewmodels and all, you can have a beam that looks smaller and duller than how it currently is.
I'm back with another question. I was wondering, is it possible for a 4:3 monitor to use a 16:9 resolution?
I tried setting -w 1024 -h 576 (fullscreen included) but once I loaded up TF2, it was back to the usual 1024 x 768. Is it possible to make it 1024 x 576 (this is a 16:9 res. right?) with black bars on the top and bottom?
Hello, so I've finally made the switch to a wired mouse after using a wireless mouse for pretty much my entire previous gaming time. (Yes, feel free to laugh)
However, with this new wired mouse, even when I turn off my computer, the mouse appears to still be on (red light underneath, etc). Is this normal? I asked a friend and I was told their Razer Deathadder turned off when their computer did as well. Anyhow it's not a big deal except for a fear that the mouse will have a shorter lifespan if it's continually turned on, so is that true or am I just being paranoid?
Also while I'm at it, I want to ask why are wired mouses better for gaming? I've been told over and over that they are better, but what are the reasons?
Mid - Process/Snakewater
Second - Process/Snakewater/Metalworks
Last - Process/Gullywash
Played with him way long ago. Even now, it's still a pleasure to talk with him. Super nice and will work hard on a team. Pretty smart player as well.
Demoman since it's similar to Medic for me (with positioning, needing to stay alive, a lot of potential to change the game)and the weapons are so much fun to use. The Stickybomb Launcher is a lot of fun and it's so versatile. The Grenade Launcher is satisfying as well.
Also, I like that I don't need to jump constantly like on Soldier. I guess I'm a huge outcast, but, I don't find jumping around too much fun. On the flip side, I love the fighting mechanics of Soldier and hence that's why I love DMing/MGEing on it. But in a real game setting with bombing and stuff, I don't enjoy it.
I've also done Medic in the past, and during that period, I enjoyed the tactical role it has. Being the one to call out heals, how to execute an Uber, when to back up, etc, that was fun.
Teammates, the game itself is really unique and fun, and it's cool to see progress and improvement.
Great team-orientated player. Was a pleasure to play with him. Solid and reliable.
MGE/DM, but only until you feel like you're hitting most of your shots. Once you hit that peak, stop playing for a bit otherwise you risk burning yourself out.
MasterKuniIf you're in an emergency situation near groups of people and need someone to call the cops, don't say "Someone call the cops!", because I guarantee almost no one will. Instead, single a person out, and say "Hey you, call the cops!" and they will be much more inclined to help you. I don't remember where I read this, but it seems like sound advice for breaking the crowd mentality of nobody wanting to take responsibility.
This is very true.
It goes with the "bystander effect" and something about responsibility shift...? Pretty much, the more people, the LESS likely one person will help since they think "Oh, there's 20 of us, ONE of them will call for help..." but if they all think that way, nothing happens. But if you solo someone out or if there's only one person there, the responsibility shifts to them and they think "Crap, I'm the only one, I need to call for help".
Also, people should be intervening if they ever see something go wrong. Intervene directly, delegate and get others involved, or even "distracting" is a good method. Being a bystander is honestly one of the worst things you can do when you could be saving someone's life or something.
Anyways, I'm glad you're safe, mana. It's fortunate that you didn't get seriously injured. Hopefully your items are recovered but just being safe should be your top priority.
DaggerKind of disappointed to see main merged with open. Would it be possible to merge the 7 teams that paid up in main to be merged with professional to make it a 16 team division?
I'm personally in favor of this. Seems fair to both Open and Main teams.
Forty-TwoI recently saw the medi beam for viewmodel_fov 0, which works on sv_pure 2 and is as you can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdi1uyaG6xU
I don't know if it helps performance though, but it looks like it could do
From my experience, viewmodel_fov 0 does help with preventing stutters/freezes when healing.
If you tend to lag/freeze whenever you heal someone (especially when they're really close), having viewmodel_fov 0 helps.
A bunch of really awesome, nice people. My team had a bunch of mumble issues and stuff that delayed our scrim, and I expected some raging but they were really patient and mature about it.
Also super solid plays from them. You won't regret joining them!
Personally when I'm down, music always cheers me up. Exercise, talking to friends, playing an instrument/singing helps.
