I can attest to how fucking great powerline adapters are. I get my full dl speed with them and only 2-5ms of added latency. No drops or packet loss. If you can get them on the same power circuit they are only slightly worse than a ethernet cable.

A $100 budget is right at the cusp of getting decent price/performance, but you can get some pretty good deals. If your really strapped for cash get a GT 640 although I wouldn't recommend it. It will play tf2 perfectly though. There is no reason to get a gtx 750, it is a bad fit for you since you have a 850watt PSU, totally negating the benefit you get for paying more for it- low power consumption and no external power needed.

The best deals here are AMD solutions so you should be happy about that. A 7770 or r5 250x are great options and will play any new games at medium-low settings with very good framerates. A 7750 would work here too. To be honest any $100 dedicated GPU solution will be leaps and bounds better than what you have currently.
