#35 any recommendations on parts for a new desktop? in Hardware

bearodactyl please read the posts before you start spewing shit out of your mouth. You came into the thread, didn't read shit, and spammed 5 posts with bad advice.Goddamn kid he said before you asked what he wanted to play on his new build(not tf2), he said he didn't want to overclock, and he said he lives in Hawaii and 2 minutes of googleing would have revealed that there isn't any micro centers within 2000 miles of those islands. And for the love of god take 'lolz' and 'lmao' out of your posts. Fox please don't listen to this kid, almost everything hes said has been dumb.

As to your lastest parts list, it looks pretty good to me. The only thing that worries me at first glance is the power supply, being kinda off brand and non-reputable, but the reviews for that particular one look great, go for it.
By the way the processor your getting is the 'K' version of the 3770, which just means that this chip can be overclocked. If your really sure that you arn't going to overclock ever, you can get the normal 3770 and save $20-$50.

This isn't reddit, get your shitty stolen content out plz. And don't claim it's yours or 'your friends' when it's just some random picture from the internet.

#39 low-mid Medic in Mentoring

Imagine having this guy on your team and having to tolerate him all season. Holy fuck

Some tips:
-Learn to spell and use correct grammar. Typing/talking like your 12 is only funny/cute when your 12.
-If you want to be seem professional and be treated professionally you have to be professional. This doesn't mean you have to be serious all of time and have no fun, you have to learn the time and place for everything.
-Alot of people in this thread are trying to help you, and you are just blowing them off. What kind of team wants a egotistical medic who doesn't listen?

The way your heading I really doubt any team will want you without a major attitude change, look at the way your representing yourself.

#16 Best ISP's? in Off Topic

If you have a choice between DSL or cable just know that cable usually has 20-30ms better latency due to the interleaving required on DSL.

#15 Problems with GTX 480 (?) in Hardware

You should be getting in the 200-300 range with highframes on that pc. You said it was a new pc, did you build it yourself or have someone build it for you? Check your temperatures and see if your cpu is throttling. Try some other games on it(another source game like l4d2 and a game on a diff engine) and report back with the frames your getting.

#22 Comfy Headphones? in Hardware
WintersunBEARTATOhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153060

These are the headphones I currently use. Very very light and have never hurt my ears after hours of playing. As long as your head isn't super tiny they will fit perfectly and you don't notice they are on. The pads are nice and are a cloth type not leatherish and breathable so yours ears don't get hot and it doesn't feel (stickyish?). Very good sound quality. No complaints, best pair of headphones i've had. Won't have the problems that some reviews had with one ear going out if you don't drop them letting them hang by the cord. My brother had to get a replacment pair under warranty because he did kept doing this though.

Sorry, but Razer audio is the "Beats by Dre" of gaming. Overpriced, and all about design. They offer meh specs for the price but you pay for the brand.

2/10 would not recommend, made me reply.

See atmo after class.

Normally I would probably agree with you, but these headphones are actually quite good. Razer does make some good products(deathadder anyone?) it's just kind of hit and miss with them. If you looked at the reviews for this it rated pretty highly with everyone saying it has good sound quality and is comfortable. The only issue might be with build quality of the connector, but I haven't had that in the year I've had these. The price is ok and usually it's at $40, which is a steal for headphones this nice.

8/10 would recommend

#9 computer nics in Hardware

They are kind of interesting with their different network stack(no winsock), looks like it is most useful when you are using alot of bandwidth like streaming or large pubs, where your cpu is bottlenecked or network traffic might be lower priority than game processing. Otherwise I wouldn't expect this to lower your ping much at all.

On ebay you can get one for ~$40, cheap enough to try out and see if its useful.
