Incase you missed it - http://etf2l.org/forum/lan/topic-24895/page-11/?recent=464100#post-464091
Ex
eXtineDocu is so close to release. We are putting the final final touches on it but are also unfortunately waiting on word back regarding some distribution stuff.
I talked with Luc yesterday and without a doubt we'll be releasing before i49, even if we're still waiting. We set a hard date, but this isn't the proper place to address it.
To clarify in case anyone freaks out. The docu will definitely be free on YT, but we're also looking at different routes for distributing a 50fps HQ version.
Excellent news,
I and many others im sure, will join me in thanking you, Luc and anyone else i've missed for your hard work on it. I can only imagine how long it has taken to edit everything :)
Given the considerable issues these always create is it worth it now?
Showmatches aren't really needed since the almost 90% confirmation from Tapley (Multiplays TF2 Lead Tournament Co-ordinator) that all of the 'higher' teams will be placed in one group for the initial stages of the i49 tournament.
That will give us around 5/6 'showmatches' of sort before the competition gets down to business.
SetsulBetaI am also surprised nobody has mentioned this. Those codes showing represent errors whilst loading on in your motherboard, maybe look them up in your motherboard book? :)I'm pretty sure that these are q-codes (page 48/49)
4F 36 69 ...they are what I mean by beeps.
4F = DXE IPL is started
36 = CPU post-memory initialization
69 = System Agent DXE initialization is started
Everything that was or could ever be suggested is in the list
Yer wasn't certain of the name to be quite honest - beeps is the time I am from :)
Looking like more of a CPU problem...we will wait to see what he comes back with. Hopefully it's just something minor and a loose power cable to CPU (common mistake)
This looks like a CPU issue, without any beeps it isn't even posting so I would look at that first thing.
By 'look at it' I mean physically take it out, make sure you haven't damaged it and re-place the CPU back into the slot.

If the CPU is fine, try one stick of RAM at a time...try GPU - take it out if needed and see what happens, just general troubleshooting.
KidIpzWow thanks guys ive betted 50 Euros that this arx&beta post wont be happening until the end of this month, guess im wrong. I will give this money to fund LANGE to LAN o/ uhuuuuuuuuuuu
There was a bet on?! :D
Anyhow yer, this is Arx giving his opinion
SideshowYou're competitors ever since a merge was openly rejected. They were perfectly within their rites to try and compete for a spot to cover i49.
I don't think he was trying to make that point, the way I read it was slightly different.
I guess this is trying to point out we do want what is best for TF2 and not just to be seen as 'wasting time' or another other word associated.
skyridebut a couple of little kids with a personal vendetta decided to try and steal the show, instead of taking the mature, logical approach to this and attempting to unite the coverage scene for a united Team Fortress LAN event.
I presume that's why I have logs from the vanillatv staff channel where you are proposing quite seriously that no one from TFTV be allowed to cast for VTV at i49?
That was after your proposal mate :)
Though I was aware Arx was doing this post...this isn't to cause an argument. It is honestly to let everyone know we aren't always the culprits even though it may seem that way to some.
Arx is venting some frustrations that have built up a while ago I guess and this was the easiest way.
@Lucky
I guess it comes down to the question of...what do you think a replay is going to achieve?
Yes it can provide some half time analysis...go over some team play I guess? Replays of the points...but this isn't football, we cant follow one person and follow his exact movement up to the point / capture etc.
Maybe it can show some kills? Again, only if we were in eyes with that person at that exact point.
In my opinion it's not a realistic target to aim for. I don't see how having replays is going to increase the competitive scene which is what we primarily want here.
I am certain I speak for a large majority of people.
We fully appreciate your efforts and realise this is a big task. We look forward to seeing something when its ready! :)
Commonly known as Stock Cars in the UK, good fun to drive :)
Has anyone actually asked any NA players if they are interested in going to i49?
As Sal said, lets get away from this Dreamhack idea. It was never really going to be feasible the minute substantial fees were mentioned. They are clearly not interested enough and clearly make enough money from other business / games.
