This sort of shit irritates me heavily in competitive gaming. Not just this specific thing, but general lack of respect for your opponent.
Back in older, more 1v1 focused games, just having recorded practice reps against someone really amazing (with a decent ping too) was a rare privilege to be thankful for. Back then, you didn't rage at people who fucked you up, lest they get sick of your shit and find someone more interesting to fight. Instead, you did this revolutionary old school technique where you just said "nice shot" in chat and kept playing.
It was an opportunity to seize, especially when they were willing to slow down, teach you, and give you advice, And when (not if, when) they got bored of destroying you, you threw down a GG, picked up the shattered pieces of your ego and watched the tapes. If anything, you THANKED them for being willing to body you, then headed back to the lab, and learned every lesson their superior play could teach you.
Where's the respect nowadays? Got people whining in the chat because they got bodyshot, calling their opponent bad because they got outplayed, and wasting other people's time with disorganized BS. All I see are salt, excuses, and immature ego ridden smurfers... I hope it's mostly just a problem at the skill level I currently occupy, and someday I'll git gud and get out of the proverbial ELO hell lmao
