Fundraiser target met! Many thanks to all the donors, ours sponsors TF2Pickup.net & Essentials.tf, Mr. James Headley for getting us across the finish line and all the lovely gents who have agreed to participate in the karaoke! Here's that announcement I promised earlier: TF2Pickup.net and Essentials.tf have kindly agreed to jointly sponsor the team bringing our total raised up to £604! A big thanks to them, with their sponsorship we only need £206 more to meet the fundraiser target.

In other karaoke-news, Josh, Herr_P and Dr. phil have all verbally beaten me into allowing them to join in the karaoke. This means our budding Dreamhacks got talent show has grown to a full 10 man karaoke extravaganza with representatives from every team...except [R]eason gaming; team captain Kaidus provided these comments:

Hey everyone, here's a quick progress update for you: The team has managed to secure significant cash sponsorship, details of which I will be announcing later today. Also had a moment to speak with Tek to bring him up to speed with things and hes in for the music video!

The fundraiser currently stands at £318 raised, but that figure should increase substantially once we add in the sponsorship; however we'll still be some way off the target so please keep chipping in!

£275 raised so far £535 to go! Thanks to everyone who has been donating so far.

EDIT: kos/ryb/flippy/beavern/sideshow have all agreed to do a short karaoke style music video at the venue in aid of the fundraiser! Leave song requests here along with the name you used in your donation.

The accommodation for most of the people attending the event was booked by sideshow, with the understanding that there would be a certain minimum amount of people paying in towards covering costs. As it is sideshow will be paying the overall fee of £3300 for the weekend and be seeking reimbursement from players after the event ends.

This fundraiser is to take care of the travel/accommodation costs for the team replacing epsilon/#tf2center. The players on this team will be: kos/ryb/tek/tviq/beavern/flippy.

Heres a rundown of the expenses:

kos:
travel: 10gbp one way flight from stanstead to gothenburg, flight back can be transferred from epsilon to kos.
accom: 110gbp = 120gbp

= 120gbp

ryb/beavern:
travel: 650kr bus x2=1300kr=100gbp
accom: 110gbp accom x2 = 220gbp

= 320gbp

tviq:
travel: 1140kr = 110gbp bus,
accom: 110gbp,

= 220gbp

tek/flippy:
travel: flights 130gbp x2 = 260gbp,
accom: 110gbp x2 = 220gbp,

= 480gbp

total: £1140, which becomes £810 after deducting the £330 guaranteed 4th place prize.

We won't be offering donation perks for now, anything you donate at this stage is to ensure there will be an event this year and perhaps to secure a future for TF2 at Dreamhack Winter next year.
