A month before the tournament starts or so there will be a thread about signups being open on tf.tv . Most likely going to be on toornament.com
There will probably be a discord channel as well where they post stuff.

Do you only want earbuds or IEMs?
IEMs are the things that go deep into your ear and earbuds are the normal ones.
Finding a good pair of earbuds with in-line control(which usually means they have a mic) is a pain in the ass even finding good earbuds in general is annoying but:
Sound
Earbuds:
As far as I know there aren't any high quality earbuds and the ones from 10 dollars to 30-ish dollars are pretty much all the same sound wise. Even Apple's earbuds aren't that good sound quality wise but still a notch better than your average buds. Bud wise I'd really recommend the Venture Electronics Monks if you can find them(I got mine from Massdrop) they are a bit bass heavy but otherwise pretty good, the mic is decent as well and they are quite cheap.
IEMs:
I can't really make any recommendations for IEMs but in general the more you pay for them the better quality you get (in theory) and at a certain price point they all come with in-line control.
Mic
The problem with most microphones which are included in buds is that they are fine for phone calls even in loud-ish environments, since most people don't care too much about the audio quality in that case, but for anything that involves a computer they aren't that great. They are fine but not awesome and most of them all sound the same-ish quality wise. The microphone quality can also fluctuate from user to user since the soundcard each person uses differs.
In conclusion I'd honestly just get whichever earbuds you like or own and either get a clip-on-mic(lavalier) or if you want to invest a decent amount of money get a normal mic. Otherwise I can very much recommend the monks if you can get your hands on them since they also have a decent mic.
sachikoI think that that's just how the main menu looks. I have the same darker background and I have mat_monitorgamma 1.6. I think the main menu probably just has a semi transparent overlay that darkens it.
What he said. Ever since the Jungle Inferno update(I think) they added a semi-transparent overlay to the menu which is why the console doesn't (always) work as well as other things. Some HUDs I think managed to change the size of that though but maybe it's just another semi-transparent layer.
Thanks :)
Also for people who are interested in this:
All you have to actually do is get HLAE and use the command "mirv_input camera".
The script linked mostly is just for more advanced stuff like camera movement etc.
Hey so since I'm missing the stv of a match and I want to record someone else's frags I thought that maybe I'd be able to still record it by using someones POV demo.
Now first of all I'm aware that I can most likely only see things which are drawn for the player who's POV I'm using but I still wanted to try it anyway.
So I found a command called : cl_demoviewoverride 1 which basically let's you use a freecam of some sorts but the problem is that the movement of the camera still gets overwritten by the players input. Eg if the player moves forward the camera does as well. Does anyone know how to ignore those inputs?
Killing someone by reflecting the dragons fury projectile doesn't give you any CP for the contract and also doesn't advance the bonus thing.
I believe this is happening due to casual servers now running sv_pure 1 which basically means that you can't use custom files for a lot of things. Here's the list(type sv_pure into the console):
sound\... trusted_source
models\... trusted_source
materials\... trusted_source
particles\... trusted_source
scripts\game_sounds.txt trusted_source
scripts\game_sounds_manifest.txt trusted_source
scripts\game_sounds_player.txt trusted_source
scripts\game_sounds_vo.txt trusted_source
scripts\game_sounds_vo_handmade.txt trusted_source
scripts\game_sounds_weapons.txt trusted_source
scripts\soundmixers.txt trusted_source
materials\console\... any
materials\temp\... any
materials\vgui\logos\ui\... any
sound\misc\... any
sound\vo\... any
sound\ui\... any
sound\ui\hitsound.wav any
Basically every file under "trusted_source" will be temporarily overwritten by the server which means that you can't use/or adjust (custom) weapon models, sounds etc.
In theory you should only hear the normal sound for each rocket launcher.
My guess would be that the client says something like "play file A" and the server says "play file B" with file A being the replaced weapon sound and file B being the normal weapon sound(trusted source). This in turn causes you to hear both sounds.
I don't think there's a fix to this other than playing on community servers which have sv_pure set to 0.
To prove my theory you could create a server and change the settings to sv_pure 1 and see what happens.
Although I'm not sure if the server you created uses your own custom files as "trusted source files" or if they use the normal game files in your tf2 directory.

well this is fun
If the website crashes, or you get a 404 error, after signing up you did everything correct. You just have to restart your browser and log in again.
Probably the worst website I've ever used in my life.
