#1699 ESEA Open S26 Happenings/Discussion in TF2 General Discussion
knsumereally annoying to have a 15 minute scrim and then nothing until your 10:30

Does he still do those power point map reviews at 8:45 est. Are they still half wrong too?

#14 What can I do to play?? in TF2 General Discussion
glass(someone actually recommended low open? really?)

most of the newbies who are signing up for the newbie drive have little to no experience. low open is perfectly fine place to go. honestly i wish id started with open because i wouldn't have wasted 4 seasons not improving in ugc

#38 things you like that other people consider dumb in Off Topic

jag's new passtime map where virtually everyone who plays it finds it fun but getting people to play it for the first time is hard because they think its normal passtime.

#7 FACEIT Hub Discussion in TF2 General Discussion
Moustache where if you're playing medic and you win you gain more xp and/or don't lose as much on a loss.

you cant carry on medic. its will be very hard for someone at the bottom no matter how good they are to rise by playing medic if their team is ass. this xp ranking system also promotes toxicity, one of the main reasons an elo system was taken out of pugchamp.

#20 Most drops ever seen in a match/scrim/pug? in TF2 General Discussion
viperif someone shitting on you for dropping 8 times in a pug makes you want to quit the game then you probably shouldn’t be playing anyway

Because people who want to play 6v6 and have a good time need to be willing to accept being shit on by many people on a public forum?

rant inbound

Do you know how many newbies are afraid of getting into comp tf2 because of this factor alone? Its actually appalling how much this isn't talked about. Yes there's always gonna be criticism and yes people are gonna shittalk or get mad and that is normal for a competitive game, but that should only extend as far as what you exchange in mumble and it shouldn't be over the top at that. You shouldn't be publicly posting to shit on people and bring to light to as many people as possible and make a big deal out of it. You shouldn't be making threads where the premise is "post peoples failures so we can laugh about them" I already know a few people who have quit because of this. I know multiple others who consider quitting because of this regularly. I personally have considered quitting due to this. Some people purposefully dont add up to pugs with popular streamers because they feel if they dont play perfect tf2 someone will clip it and post it on the forums. Its just a not fun experience. How can you expect players to want to play and make mistakes and learn when you shame them for those mistakes. And ill admit that ive done it from time to time too in the past as part of the hive mind. But after hearing lots of newbies (and others as well) being afraid about it I'm trying to change that. Just because you feel like you want ot shit on people doesn't make it ok.
